How Calabash works

Calabash is a place for mental health practitioners to share knowledge and grow professionally through high quality, engaging talks. This page explains how it works and where to start.

What is a Partner?

A Calabash Partner is a company or individual who provides talks through our platform. Every Partner is vetted for their expertise before we enter a revenue sharing agreement. Partners create and upload talks and have them accredited in the countries they choose, while Calabash provides the platform that shares and sells them. Read more about Partners.

What is a Contributor?

A Calabash Contributor is an individual expert who writes articles for Calabash, vetted in much the same way as Partners. Their articles are published on our site and shared with the wider community.

How do I buy talks?

There are four ways to buy a talk and earn its sponsorship where one applies.

Every talk page shows the options available for that talk, and the information icon beside each one explains it in more detail.

What about groups?

If you belong to a reading group, practice or class, you can register it as a Calabash group. Once the group is approved, every member receives a discount on their purchases. Members still buy talks through their own profile, so each certificate stays in the right name. A group needs a minimum of five active members.

How do I get my CE credit?

Once you have bought a talk you can watch it at any time. Some talks require you to pass a quiz and some do not, and the talk page tells you which. Where a quiz is required you need 70% or more to pass, and your certificate is emailed to you automatically once you have passed.

Can I leave feedback on a talk?

Yes. Once you have bought a talk you can rate it and leave feedback for other practitioners, which appears on the talk page alongside the reviews others have left.
